Dear Fellow Rotarians,

I greet you all in the name of Rotary fellowship and family this new year of Rotary 2011 / 2012 for Macclesfield Rotary Club. It is an honour to be asked to be your President which I accept with sincere humility and pride to step in the footsteps of great men of this Rotary Club who have laid the foundation that now reached eighty- five years putting us on the map of Rotary both locally and internationally. I salute all Past Presidents, Secretaries, Treasurers and Chairmen of various charity activities that all members freely rendered so excellently, sacrificially in serving others above self. That faithfulness is the secret of behind the “Rotary Wheel” kept turning over these years in the past at the present and will be in the future. Rotary International is a living organization that is made of living Beings that is valid for all generations in the present and future. And so while we have a concern for the present let us look forward for future generations to able to take on this way of life supporting those who are need most at the point of time in the history of mankind both locally and internationally. It is my hope that this year of Rotary we consolidate our work continual support for charities that are already on our programmes of action at the same time learn from the challenges of the past avoiding conflicts of interests with one another but caring and maintaining good comradeship in the ideals of Rotary Fellowship and Family growing closer to one another and spreading the good news that Rotary is for life. And if we believe that Rotary owns each one of us and you and I are living members that will keep Rotary alive then is our privilege to serve it with our highest esteem embracing all that humanity stands for. And that I have great faith in you all to be faithful in Rotary way and Rotary life with fire in our hearts and souls to conquer the world for Rotary and Humanity.

Welcome to Macclesfield Rotary Club, we meet every Thursday evening at Macclesfield Golf Club, Windmill Lane. 5.30 for 6.00pm

Our club was first formed in 1927 and our daughter club Macclesfield Castle was formed in 1976. We are twinned with the Rotary Club of Eckerndorf in North Germany.

Our business meetings normally take place on the third Thursday of the month with the other evenings having a pre-selected speaker presenting a topic, please see our events programme for up to date info.
